Yesterday I got an email from Toby Hemingway’s mother Annamaria confirming he received A Rose to the Fallen. She said Toby sends his thanks for the book and wishes me lots of success. He wants to contact me directly, but he’s not sure when because he’s currently busy with work and traveling. I hope he packs the book along because I think those long plane trips would be the perfect opportunity for him to get to know Tristan. I asked Annamaria to ask Toby if he could send me a picture of himself with the book, so I’m hoping he includes one when he contacts me. If I hear from him, I’ll be sure to let everyone know.
Later today I’ll be mailing a copy of A Rose to the Fallen to Toby Hemingway. Years ago, Toby was my muse. I’m sending him my book as a thank you. He inspired me and if it wasn’t for him, I never would have written my first novel or published my first book. I’m excited and nervous at the same time about sending him the book. If there’s anyone whose opinion I value the most… it’s his. I have to give thanks to his lovely mother Annamaria Hemingway for helping me get the book to him. She’s so nice. Oh, and she’s an author too. Her book is called Practicing Conscious Living and Dying. I actually own a copy myself. You can visit Ms. Hemingway’s website by clicking below.
Last week I mailed Lucas Buchwald a copy of A Rose to the Fallen. He emailed me today and said he received it, and he sent me some pictures of himself with the book. He was very excited to finally get the book, and I have to admit the feeling is mutual. Seeing his pics has been one of the best things to come from my book publishing experience. It’s almost unreal to see him holding my book with his face on the cover. I never thought I’d meet Lucas online, but I’m so happy I did. He’s a real sweetheart and has a great sense of humor. He told me he can’t wait to read the book and he’s curious about Tristan’s character. I told him I hope he’s able to relate to Tristan in some way, and judging by his pics, he already has Tristan’s style. I was surprised when he told me he likes motorcycles just like Tristan, but he prefers a black Ducati over Tristan’s green Kawasaki. I can’t disagree with him on that. Ducati’s are hot! I’m so glad I chose Lucas to represent my British bad-boy.

New A Rose to the Fallen trailer!
A Rose to the Fallen, Book Trailer, Bridget, Fanvideo, News, Toby Hemingway, TristanI’m happy to announce that Tiffany D. finished the mock trailer for A Rose to the Fallen. I think it’s beautiful and I love that actors Toby Hemingway and Kate Mara are portraying Tristan & Bridget. They’re my #1 picks if my book was ever adapted for a film. The trailer is more than I imagined; from the video clips, the captions, the music, and the special effects at the end. I’m truly impressed by Tiffany’s creativity and imagination. I actually started crying when I first watched it. I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart for creating such a perfect trailer. My book is a romance with a lot of emotion weaved throughout the story. She really captured that in the trailer and brought my characters and their story to life.
I finally finished redesigning my website. I wanted a change from my old theme. I’m using WordPress now and I think it makes my site look cleaner and more professional. I have a new contact form and I removed the deleted chapter from A Rose to the Fallen. I still have the link to The Howling Heart, but it’s under Novels. All my social networking sites are under Blogroll in the sidebar. I hope you like the new layout.
I just found out the guy on the cover of A Rose to the Fallen is a professional model from Germany named Lucas Buchwald. He’s absolutely beautiful! When I bought stock photos of him two years ago, I had no idea he was a professional model. I just thought he had the perfect look for my character. I’m so glad I chose him to represent Tristan on my cover.

I received an email today from a reader named Sarah who asked if I could show her a picture of what Tristan’s bike looked like. I thought that was an interesting request. Well, since I’m a visual person, I don’t mind sharing with everyone what his bike looked like. Actually, I can show pictures of his new bike since he wrecked his first one. Tristan’s bike is a green and black 2007 Kawasaki Ninja. This is fiction, so the pictures are for entertainment purposes only!
