Because both of my muses, Alex Pettyfer and Toby Hemingway, are starring in it. Alex inspired The Howling Heart, and Toby inspired A Rose to the Fallen. This is the first time these two handsome talented Brits are in the same film. I wonder if they’ll have any scenes together. I don’t think they will, but I already know I’m going to enjoy watching In Time.
Until recently, my novels have never been mentioned on news and entertainment websites. It’s cause for a little excitement because it’s nice when someone recognizes my work. Not to mention, I can use the publicity. A Rose to the Fallen was mentioned in an article from Telegraph.co.uk about Toby Hemingway, and The Howling Heart was mentioned on Crushable in an article about Alex Pettyfer. Unfortunately, both articles posted some false information about me. I’m neither a best-selling novelist or an “aspiring young adult novelist”. I could only dream of having a best-seller and I do NOT write Young Adult.
Taylor Swift ‘inseparable’ from British actor Toby Hemingway
Toby Hemingway, the British-born actor, was delighted to be cast as Taylor Swift’s bridegroom in the pop video for the American singer’s latest release, Mine.
So convincing was Hemingway, 24, who has appeared in the television series CSI: Miami as well as the forthcoming film Black Swan, that he is said to have now won over the singer, 20. “They have been inseparable since filming,” says my man in New York.
The dashing actor was born in Brighton but moved to California with his mother, the author Annamaria Hemingway, when he was 13.
This is not the first time that Hemingway has proved stimulating. April Bostic, the bestselling novelist, said he was the inspiration for her book A Rose to the Fallen.
Swift’s spokesman says: “We don’t comment on Taylor’s personal life.”
Yesterday I got an email from Toby Hemingway’s mother Annamaria confirming he received A Rose to the Fallen. She said Toby sends his thanks for the book and wishes me lots of success. He wants to contact me directly, but he’s not sure when because he’s currently busy with work and traveling. I hope he packs the book along because I think those long plane trips would be the perfect opportunity for him to get to know Tristan. I asked Annamaria to ask Toby if he could send me a picture of himself with the book, so I’m hoping he includes one when he contacts me. If I hear from him, I’ll be sure to let everyone know.
I need to clear up some confusion going on. Today some gossip sites reported that Taylor Swift and Toby Hemingway are supposedly dating after working together on the set of her upcoming music video for “A Rose to the Fallen”. Taylor’s song is NOT called “A Rose to the Fallen”. It’s called “Mine”. A few days ago, I posted about Toby and Taylor in her upcoming video (Edit: the post has been removed). I also mentioned my book A Rose to the Fallen because Toby was the inspiration for it. In my post, I specifically said the article about her video shoot doesn’t say what song the video is for. I think someone read my post and screwed up the information about her video. They posted it, and in turn, many other sites just copied and pasted what they reported without verifying if the information was true.
Later today I’ll be mailing a copy of A Rose to the Fallen to Toby Hemingway. Years ago, Toby was my muse. I’m sending him my book as a thank you. He inspired me and if it wasn’t for him, I never would have written my first novel or published my first book. I’m excited and nervous at the same time about sending him the book. If there’s anyone whose opinion I value the most… it’s his. I have to give thanks to his lovely mother Annamaria Hemingway for helping me get the book to him. She’s so nice. Oh, and she’s an author too. Her book is called Practicing Conscious Living and Dying. I actually own a copy myself. You can visit Ms. Hemingway’s website by clicking below.
I’m happy to announce that Tiffany D. finished the mock trailer for A Rose to the Fallen. I think it’s beautiful and I love that actors Toby Hemingway and Kate Mara are portraying Tristan & Bridget. They’re my #1 picks if my book was ever adapted for a film. The trailer is more than I imagined; from the video clips, the captions, the music, and the special effects at the end. I’m truly impressed by Tiffany’s creativity and imagination. I actually started crying when I first watched it. I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart for creating such a perfect trailer. My book is a romance with a lot of emotion weaved throughout the story. She really captured that in the trailer and brought my characters and their story to life.
