Riley used in first role-play!

Alex Pettyfer, Riley, RPG, The Howling Heart

I think this is a first. I’ve never seen or been asked by anyone to use my characters in a role-play. One of my readers named Signe, who I’ve blogged about before because she’s one of my biggest fans, asked if she could use Riley from my unpublished novel The Howling Heart on a RP site. I agreed because I’m flattered someone was actually liked him enough to want to pretend to be him. Naturally, she used Alex Pettyfer as her FC (face claim) because he inspired the story and I penned Riley after him. I told Signe I hope she has fun with my character and people find him interesting and decide to read my novel. Speaking of Alex Pettyfer, I plan to design a fake movie poster for his upcoming film “Cali”. Look out for it in my deviantART gallery.

New Polyvore set for The Howling Heart

Alex Pettyfer, Fanart, Lyndsy Fonseca, Paige, Riley, The Howling Heart

I found a new Polyvore set for my second novel, The Howling Heart. I especially like this one because the artist mentioned Riley & Paige’s theme song ‘Find A Way’ by Safetysuit in the title and description. Another thing I like to see when people make fanart is who they choose as Paige. Most people choose Alex Pettyfer as Riley since he inspired the story, but I’ve seen many different choices for Paige. This is the first time I’ve seen actress Lyndsy Fonseca as Paige, and I think she’s a great choice! I noticed this artist’s set is a shout-out to me which I think is nice since I usually do that with my readers. Click on the collage to see the set in more detail!

New fanart for The Howling Heart

Alex Pettyfer, Emily Didonato, Fanart, Paige, Riley, The Howling Heart

You should know by now that if I see someone make fanart, fanvideos, or fanfiction from my stories that I like to showcase them on my site. Over the last few years, I’ve posted all of the above. I do it because I appreciate when someone enjoys my work enough that it inspires them to be creative. I usually make my own artwork for my stories, so it’s nice when someone else makes it for them. Today, I’m showcasing fanart by Alissa aka bluehybun for my unpublished novel The Howling Heart. I met her on deviantART and she told me she loved my books. I’ve met a couple readers on dA which was a nice surprise. Alissa used Alex Pettyfer and Emily Didonato to represent Riley & Paige. I think she did a wonderful job, and I’m thrilled to know she’ll be making more artwork, but next time for A Rose to the Fallen. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with.

Another Polyvore set for The Howling Heart

Alex Pettyfer, Alexis Bledel, Fanart, Paige, Riley, The Howling Heart

This is the 4th Polyvore set I’ve posted for The Howling Heart. It features actors Alex Pettyfer and Alexis Bledel as my characters Riley & Paige. If the creator reads this… thank you for making a nice set for my second novel. I’m glad it inspired you to be creative. Oh, and I hope it gets published soon too! :)

More of The Howling Heart on Polyvore

Alex Pettyfer, Fanart, Paige, Riley, The Howling Heart

When I saw these Polyvore sets for my unpublished novel The Howling Heart, my jaw dropped. I think they’re really nice and the creator did a great job. I can definitely see Paige wearing these outfits, especially the 2nd one when she’s in Colorado. The creator knows how stylish my character is; makeup and accessories are a MUST for her. Paige works for Elle magazine after all. I love how detailed she was—there’s so much stuff! She even has a picture of a waterfall in the forest just like in the scene where Riley & Paige had their first kiss. And you can’t forget a picture of Alex Pettyfer to represent Riley since he inspired the story. If the creator ever reads this post, I want to thank her for making these. I’m so glad The Howling Heart inspired her creativity. I’m even more flattered because she felt my novel deserved TWO sets! You can click on them to see them in detail.

The Howling Heart trailer has arrived!

Alex Pettyfer, Alexis Bledel, Book Trailer, Fanvideo, News, Paige, Riley, The Howling Heart

I think Tiffany D.’s new mock movie trailer for The Howling Heart is better than the one she created for A Rose to the Fallen. The video is not in HD like she wanted because her computer couldn’t handle the rendering, but it’s still a very good quality. There are more sounds, music, and dialogue. There’s lots of clips of British actor Alex Pettyfer as Riley. It’s only fitting since he inspired the story and the character. The scenes in the beginning with Alexis Bledel as Paige are nearly perfect, and the special effects at the end are really creative. Tiffany’s trailers are the closest my novels will get to being films. This trailer is the most special to me because The Howling Heart is the last novel I’m writing.

Tiffany, if you read this… thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’re truly talented and your trailers have done wonders helping to promote my novels. I know you’re a fan of mine, but I’ll always be a fan of yours too!

The Howling Heart trailer update

Alex Pettyfer, Alexis Bledel, Book Trailer, Fanvideo, News, Paige, Riley, The Howling Heart

I wasn’t going to post this update because I didn’t want to tease anyone who’s anticipating the release of Tiffany D.’s fanmade trailer for The Howling Heart. But I had second thoughts because I know some of you are waiting. I received an email from Tiffany earlier this week and her trailer is finished, but it’s not uploaded to YouTube yet. She was having problems rendering the video because it’s high-definition and her computer is not powerful enough to handle it. She’s on vacation now, so unfortunately she won’t be able to upload the video until she returns home. She said the trailer should be uploaded in early December. It’s going to be on her second channel because she has a couple strikes from YouTube on her main channel. She said she doesn’t want to risk getting another strike and having her main channel deleted. Her trailer for A Rose to the Fallen is on her main channel. I’ll admit the anticipation is killing me! She said I’m really going to like the trailer. I have no doubts because she’s an amazing video editor and her trailers are very realistic. I’ll let you in on a few details she did share with me. The trailer will feature Alex Pettyfer as Riley and Alexis Bledel as Paige. The songs featured will be Within Temptation’s “The Howling” and Safetysuit’s “Find A Way”. I already shared Safetysuit’s song in an earlier post, so here’s “The Howling”. Take a listen and let the trailer countdown begin!

THH trailer from Tiffany D. coming soon!

Alex Pettyfer, Alexandra Daddario, Alexis Bledel, Book Trailer, Fanvideo, News, Paige, Riley, The Howling Heart

I received an email from Tiffany D. this morning. She told me she’s starting to work on her fanmade trailer for The Howling Heart. She should have it uploaded on YouTube within the next couple weeks. I’m so excited and can’t wait to see it! Her trailer will feature Alex Pettyfer as Riley and Alexis Bledel or Alexandra Daddario as Paige. Tiffany is a very talented video editor and did a superb job on her fanmade trailer for A Rose to the Fallen. I hope her trailer gets me some new readers. She has over 25,000 subscribers! Stay tuned!

The Howling Heart on Polyvore

Alex Pettyfer, Fanart, Kristen Kreuk, Paige, Riley, The Howling Heart

I want to thank one of my readers for creating a nice set for The Howling Heart on Polyvore and helping spread the word about my story. The clothing she chose is definitely something Paige would wear. She chose actress Kristen Kreuk to represent Paige. And of course, Alex Pettyfer is used to represent Riley because he inspired the story and the character. If she ever reads this post, I’d also like to tell her that my story isn’t a book. She mentioned she wanted to buy the book. Maybe one day it will be a book, but for now it’s just an online story. Click the collage to see the Polyvore set in detail.

The Howling Heart sent to Alex Pettyfer’s agent

Alex Pettyfer, News, Riley, The Howling Heart

I’ve been waiting a week to make this exciting announcement. A few weeks ago, I met a young woman online named Maddalena. She lives in Switzerland and she first contacted me to tell me how much she enjoyed reading A Rose to the Fallen. She later read my second novel The Howling Heart and contacted me again to tell me she enjoyed that story too. She enjoyed it so much, she wanted to send the manuscript to Alex Pettyfer’s agent so he could read the story. Of course I agreed. For anyone not familiar with The Howling Heart, the story was inspired by Alex and I wrote the hero Riley in his likeness. I just received a confirmation that the manuscript has been delivered to his agent Thor Bradwell at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment in Los Angeles. I’m hoping it gets passed along to Alex. I know he’s very busy filming I Am Number Four, but I have my fingers crossed. I have to give a huge thanks to Maddalena for helping me get The Howling Heart to Alex. If the manuscript reaches him, I hope he likes the story and can see himself as Riley.
