My fourth and final short story, A Dark Scandal, was released today in e-book. It’s categorized as historical paranormal romance. I updated the Books page with a few buy links. Each retailer is selling it for 99 cents. This is the first story I’ve written in third-person. It was challenging since all my other books are written in first-person. It was also fun, especially writing from a male’s perspective which I’ve never done. As a writer, it’s always good to try something different. I ventured into vampire territory with this book. I’ve never published a book about these mythical beings, but after writing about angels, gods, and werewolves, I figured I’d try to add a unique twist to vampire lore, too.
My publisher has A Dark Scandal available for pre-order on their website. The price for the e-book is 99 cents! I added the book to Goodreads and there’s a link on the Books page. I can’t wait until next Saturday when it’s officially released!
Congratulations to Natasha D. for winning the giveaway from my book tour with Goddess Fish Promotions. She’ll receive a limited edition white wolf dreamcatcher that showcases the artwork of Eddie LePage. His vision of wolves is vividly recreated on real tanned leather, which is then hand-tied with leather lacing to a sculptural faux birchbark dreamcatcher frame. The frame is decorated with real feathers, beads, leather fringe, sculpted conchos, and a hand-strung dreamcatcher at the bottom. I’ve already contacted Natasha, and I can’t wait to mail the prize to her. The image really doesn’t do the dreamcatcher justice. It’s really beautiful, and I hope she likes it.
I will be having a month-long blog tour with Enchanted Book Promotions from Jan 6 to Feb 6. There will also be a tour-wide international giveaway of a $25 Amazon gift card and an e-book copy of the book. If you’d like to be a tour host, please click the banner below.
I’m happy to share the official cover for my upcoming short story, A Dark Scandal. This was sort of a collaborative effort. I chose the image, and Dawné Dominique did the graphic design. It will be released in e-book on December 21st by Secret Cravings Publishing. I’ve updated the Books page with a book display and blurb. I’ll add an excerpt on a later date.
I’ll be touring with A Little Bit of R&R to promote The Howling Heart today through Saturday. Please be sure to follow the blog tour for reviews, interviews, and excerpts! Click on the banner below to see the schedule.
I was recently interviewed on Parajunkee and talked about my latest release, The Howling Heart. After I read my answers again, I realized I made a mistake when I stated Varulv were descended from the 12th century. It’s because I was using the old book blurb that mentioned the same incorrect information. It was actually the 13th century, and that is what’s written in the book. What can I say? Sometimes I forget what the hell I write.
Update 12/16 – I’ve included a picture of the bracelet designed by Terri Davis at JewelryforPaws.
Xpresso Book Tours is organizing a Reviews-Only blog tour for The Howling Heart starting January 27th. There will be a tour-wide giveaway opened to US residents of a signed paperback and a one-of-a-kind custom-made Pandora bracelet designed specifically for The Howling Heart. I’ll post a pic when it’s ready. If you’d like to sign up as a tour host, click the banner below.
I’m happy to announce that Carly Wood has won the giveaway from my book tour with Book Monster Promotions. She received a $20 Amazon gift card, and an e-book copy of The Howling Heart. Congratulations Carly!
I just received news from my publisher that A Dark Scandal will be released on December 21. It’s my fourth and final short story. It’ll be released in e-book by Secret Cravings Publishing. I’m still waiting to begin the editing process, and I hope an editor contacts me soon. The graphic artist in me is most excited about seeing the cover though.
The giveaway has ended for my book tour with Book Monster Promotions. I’m waiting for my tour organizer to send me the winner’s name and e-mail address. I’ll be awarding one person an e-book copy of The Howling Heart, and a $20 Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card. Stay tuned for the winner’s announcement!
