I uploaded my short story Eros, My Love on FictionPress. Some of you may have read it, but it may be new to others. If you’re interested, below is the synopsis and link.
Disclaimer: Eros, My Love is a paranormal romance intended for adults age 18 and over. The story contains graphic sexual content.
Gabby never thought she would fall in love with a mythological character. After reading the pages of a mysterious journal, she finds herself enamored yet sympathetic towards the Greek God Eros. The entries paint him as a tragic god with a heart that aches for companionship. But it was written by a clinically insane woman, so Eros couldn’t really exist… could he? While working the night shift at a local diner, a secret admirer reveals his true identity and Gabby discovers that her love is not unrequited.

I submitted The Howling Heart into the 2010 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest. I did it just for kicks. I don’t expect to win, but maybe someone will take notice and like the story. Since I don’t get many reviews on FictionPress (I don’t know why), I think the story could use more exposure. Publishers Weekly will be reviewing the manuscripts that go onto the semi-finalists round in April. If anyone has a finished manuscript, I encourage you to enter too. Hey, it can’t hurt. Read more »

I removed the essay about fallen angels and gave The Howling Heart its own page called Fanfiction. I think Alex Pettyfer deserves his own page since he was my muse and inspired me to write the story. I changed the ‘Novels’ page to ‘The Book’ so it just focuses on A Rose to the Fallen. The permalink has changed so I hope no one bookmarked the Novels page because the link no longer exists.
I have an update on Tiffany’s book trailer for A Rose to the Fallen. I last spoke to her on New Year’s Day and she said she was putting video clips together and trying out different effects and music. She said I should have a rough cut soon. I’m really looking forward to seeing it because her work is amazing. Check out her latest fanvideo for Eclipse, the third installment in the Twilight saga.

I finally finished redesigning my website. I wanted a change from my old theme. I’m using WordPress now and I think it makes my site look cleaner and more professional. I also like the comments feature. I hope my visitors take advantage of it. I have a new contact form and I removed the deleted chapter from A Rose to the Fallen. I still have the link to The Howling Heart, but it’s under Novels. All my social networking sites are under Blogroll in the sidebar. I hope you like the new layout.
I just found out the guy on my book cover is a professional model from Germany named Lucas Buchwald. He’s absolutely beautiful! When I bought stock photos of him two years ago, I had no idea he was a professional model. I just thought he had the perfect look for my character. I’m so glad I chose him to represent Tristan on my cover. Check out some gorgeous photos of Lucas on Empire Models blog by clicking the picture below.

Happy New Year to everyone! To start off the new year, I’m making a few changes to my website. First, I moved The Howling Heart back to FictionPress. I’m no longer hosting the story here, so the link has been changed on the banner. I’m in the process of redesigning my site. It will probably take awhile, but it’s something I want to accomplish. I think it’s time for a new look. I hope everyone is doing well and has a wonderful weekend!
