I know that some people prefer to buy hardcover books as opposed to paperbacks because they last longer. I also know that the hardcover for A Rose to the Fallen is being sold at most retailers for over $35.00. Unfortunately, there’s nothing I can do to lower the price. My book is 6 x 9 inches and 676 pages, so it’s thick and heavy. I’m assuming that’s the reason for the high price. If the price at online book sellers like Amazon, Borders, and Barnes & Noble is too expensive, I wanted to let you know that you can still purchase a hardcover at a cheaper price. Author House’s online book store sells the hardcover for $20.40. This is actually cheaper than the paperback being sold at major retailers. I hope that you find Author House’s lower price more appealing.

I received some good news to start off my 31st birthday today. Author House informed me that although they couldn’t fix the title for A Rose to the Fallen at the London Book Fair, they will showcase the book at the Beijing International Book Fair for free! They assured me that the title will be correct for the exhibit. Actually, the title will be correct for BookExpo America and the Frankfurt International Book Fair too. The Beijing International Book Fair will take place Sept 3-7 at the China International Exhibition Centre. A Rose to the Fallen is currently on display in The New Title Showcase at the London Book Fair today thru the 22nd.

I have some exciting news to share today. Tiffany, the creator of the infamous New Moon trailer, may create a book trailer for A Rose to the Fallen! She read the first chapter of my book on this site and she liked it. Now she’s reading the rest of the story. Her New Moon trailer has over 7 MILLION views and she has tens of thousands of subscribers. I’m hoping that when she creates my trailer, it will help my book gain more exposure and potential readers. And I really hope Tiffany likes the rest of the story. I told her I didn’t want her to create the trailer if she doesn’t like the book because I know her heart won’t be in it. Regardless, she’s fabulous and I want to thank her for taking an interest in my book.

I wanted to remind everyone that A Rose to the Fallen will be on display at the London Book Fair in Earls Court, London. The exhibit is Monday, April 20th-22nd and starts at 9AM. My book will be part of The New Title Showcase which displays new titles from a cross-section of publishers both from the UK and overseas. A Rose to the Fallen is listed in The New Title Showcase database, but they entered the title as ‘Rose to the Fallen, A’. I contacted Author House to find out if the title could be fixed. If you attend the show, you’ll also see my book in an exhibit catalogue and an online comprehensive database where you can buy it. You can still register in advance and save £15 on the regular £40 entrance fee. Visit the official LBF website for complete details. If you see my book, I’d love it if you could send me a picture.

I used to write fanfiction, but I never thought someone would write fanfiction inspired by my book. But it’s happened. One of my readers named Kay has written the first A Rose to the Fallen fanfiction. It’s a cross-over fic entitled Frozen Rain with the German band Tokio Hotel. Kay also created a preview video on YouTube. She’s hosting the fanfiction on her LiveJournal, so be sure to check it out and leave her comments. I’d just like to say once more…thank you Kay! I’m so flattered that my book inspired you to write a fanfiction. I would’ve never expected this in a million years.
