December has been a slow month for news. I guess because I’m not writing anymore and not doing any book signings. Plus, I haven’t seen any new reviews. The month is coming to a close and so is 2009. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has read A Rose to the Fallen and liked it enough to send me emails and leave reviews and comments on various book sites, my blog, and MySpace. I truly appreciate it and I’m glad people are enjoying Tristan & Bridget’s love story. I’m still surprised when people tell me my book is their favorite. I even have some Tristan fangirls which is really amazing. A Rose to the Fallen has been released for a year now and it’s been wonderful meeting so many readers online. I hope 2010 brings bigger and greater things. Read more »
Congratulations to R.K. Charron for winning my contest at Romantic Crush Junkies. You have won a copy of my debut release A Rose to the Fallen. Thanks for participating in my contest and I hope you enjoy the book!
I posted a new review from Reader’s Favorite. They are a popular website for book reviews and give readers honest opinions. A Rose to the Fallen received 3 out of 5 stars. The review is mostly positive, so I added it to my site. You can read it in the Reviews section. They left the review on Amazon too, so you can also read it there.
I finished writing The Howling Heart and added the last chapter. There will not be an epilogue or a sequel. I want to say thank you to the few people who have given me feedback for this story on various websites and through email. I truly appreciate it because you are the ones who motivated me to finish writing it. Thank you for reading The Howling Heart and I hope you enjoyed it. Since the story was inspired by Alex Pettyfer, I hope my character Riley did him justice.
I had an interview with blogger Christine S. Morehouse for Romantic Crush Junkies. It’s my third interview. You can read it here.
For the month of November, I’m running a contest on Romantic Crush Junkies for one lucky commenter to win a copy of my debut release A Rose to the Fallen. To enter the contest, leave a comment on the post with my interview and include your email, become a follower of RCJ, and place a blurb about my book on your either your site, blog, facebook, tweet, etc. Please don’t forget to leave your email (No Email. No Entry.) so I can contact the winner on December 1, 2009. Good Luck!
I’ve been reading about FictionPress, and I’ve learned that the site has a huge problem with plagiarism. I’ve also noticed I’m not receiving many reviews. I have over 100 people with Story Alerts, and I’m averaging 7 reviews per chapter. Since I’m almost done with the story, I’m no longer concerned about reviews. But I am concerned about someone stealing my copyrighted work. Therefore, I’ll be removing The Howling Heart from FictionPress permanently. I decided to host it on my site because I don’t feel like putting all the chapters back on my LiveJournal. I’ve updated the link in the Other Stories section. The entire story is on one page, but I’ll update it when I add a new chapter.
For anyone reading The Howling Heart on my LiveJournal, I removed the chapters there because I decided to just host the story on FictionPress (like I did in the beginning). The reason I’m doing this is because every time I make an edit, I have to do it in two places. And sometimes I forget to do it on LiveJournal, and then I can’t remember what I changed on FictionPress. But if the story ever gets removed from FictionPress, I’ll put it back on LiveJournal. I already updated my entries on LiveJournal and added links to each chapter on FictionPress.

Four months ago, I mentioned that a young woman named Tiffany was reading A Rose to the Fallen and may create a book trailer for it. She is known on YouTube as tiffanyd666 and her Twilight fanvideos are very popular. Her New Moon trailer currently has over 10 million views and her Eclipse trailer has over 2 million. I wanted to give an update on the status. I spoke to her a couple days ago and she said she has about 100 pages left to read of my book. She’s been busy with school, but I’m pretty sure she has plans to create the trailer. She told me she was really enjoying the book. I thought it was funny when she told me she was worried I may not like her trailer and didn’t want me to be disappointed. I know if she creates it, I’ll like it. I enjoy watching all of her videos. She’s a very talented video editor and has a great imagination. I’m very excited about this because I know she’ll do an amazing job bringing my characters to life. Stay tuned!
I don’t have a Facebook, but I found a group for A Rose to the Fallen while I was searching the web for reviews. The group was created by a girl I met on an Alex Pettyfer chat box. I think it’s so nice that she started a group for my book. Thank you Loumy!
I posted a new review from the erotic website Oysters & Chocolate. You can read it in the Reviews section. The reviewer enjoyed A Rose to the Fallen and recommended it to their readers. I want to thank Allison Buckley for reviewing my book. I truly appreciate it.
