I’ll be a guest on Phoebe Jordan’s live podcast show this Saturday, Feb 13th at 6PM-7PM EST (5PM-6PM CST/3PM-4PM PST). She’ll be interviewing me and we’ll be discussing my book A Rose to the Fallen. I’ll also be taking questions from callers. Phoebe Jordan is the author of the popular blog Talk About My Favorite Authors. She was the first person to review my book and interview me over a year ago. I also did a guest blog on her website which was my first one. This will be my first podcast and I hope you join us this weekend. If you’re interested, click the badge for more information.
Thanks to one of my readers and online friends Candy, I’ve been privileged to feast my eyes upon more photos of the German beauty named Lucas Buchwald. For anyone just visiting my site, Lucas is on the cover of my book A Rose to the Fallen. I have two ideal picks for Tristan if my book was ever adapted for film: Lucas and British actor Toby Hemingway. I’m not sure if Lucas can act or do a British accent, but I wouldn’t mind if the director changed Tristan’s nationality from British to German. Speaking of Lucas portraying Tristan, I’ll be announcing a surprise later this month. But in the meantime, you can enjoy his blond sexiness. Thank you Ashlynn for making the video!
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, which is less than 2 weeks away, I decided to share a poem I wrote about Tristan & Bridget. I wrote it years ago, so it’s not new. But I know a lot of my new readers haven’t read it. I didn’t know where I could put it on my site, so I uploaded it to FictionPress. I’ll admit that poetry is not my forte. I’ve only written 4 poems in my life. But sometimes I get inspired and try to write a few verses. This is the only poem I’ve written related to my book characters. Just a fair warning, the poem CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM THE BOOK!
When love happens unexpectedly, sometimes it lasts forever. Love Infinite
I really like Lucas Buchwald as Tristan. I had to contact Monique Zoellner about the photos she took of him. I’m so glad I did because she was nice enough to let me purchase one of my favorites. Now I can use his lovely face on my site banner.
I uploaded my short story Eros, My Love on FictionPress. Some of you may have read it, but it may be new to others. If you’re interested, below is the synopsis and link.
Disclaimer: Eros, My Love is a paranormal romance intended for adults age 18 and over. The story contains graphic sexual content.
Gabby never thought she would fall in love with a mythological character. But after reading the pages of a mysterious journal, she finds herself enamored, yet sympathetic towards the Greek God Eros. The entries paint him as a tragic god with a heart that aches for companionship. But it was written by a clinically insane woman, so Eros couldn’t really exist… could he? While working the night shift at a local diner, a secret admirer reveals his true identity and Gabby discovers that her love is not unrequited.
I submitted The Howling Heart into the 2010 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest. I did it just for kicks. I don’t expect to win, but maybe someone will take notice and like the story. Since I don’t get many reviews on FictionPress (I don’t know why), I think the story could use more exposure. Publishers Weekly will be reviewing the manuscripts that go onto the semi-finalists round in April. If anyone has a finished manuscript, I encourage you to enter too. Hey, it can’t hurt. Read more »
